Valley West Community Hospital hosts a community blood drive Tuesday, August 7, from 2 ? 6 p.m. in the Valley West Medical Office Building on the Valley West campus. Donating blood is completely safe, and organizations like the Heartland Blood Centers rely on volunteers for support. Help save lives by giving a meaningful gift this summer. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are preferred. Appointments can be made online at http://www.heartlandbc.org, or by calling Sue Morgan at 815.498.9467, to schedule your appointment.
All donors receive a gift of a $5 gift card for Dunkin Donuts. A photo ID is required for donation. Please make sure to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of fluids before you donate. When arriving for donation, please park in the Medical Office Building parking lot, enter the building through the main entrance and follow the signs to the second floor.
Valley West hosts community blood drives in the Medical Office Building four times per year. The next blood drive is in December 2012.
