Double joy for Hornets with win over Dursley

HORNETS made it two cup wins in the space of seven days after taking the Gloucestershire Under-18s league title with a 31-7 win over Dursley.
It came a week after Hornets had lifted the Bristol Junior Combination Cup with a win over Thornbury.
Hornets ran in five tries through Sam Balkham (2), Jordy Kirk, Conor Littlewood and Andy Wheller with Littelwood kicking two conversions and Adam Francis one.
On a sticky pitch at St Mary's, Hornets' pace was was the deciding factor as they ran in three tries from long-range after soaking up Dursley pressure.
Time and time again, Dursley were knocking on the Hornets' try line only to find their opponents turn the ball over and launch a rapid counter-attack.
And while the conditions were far from perfect for running rugby, Hornets ran out comfortable winners.
